Here we’ve collected the most frequently asked questions. If you have another query, please contact us directly at hello at execute dot org. We’re looking forward to talk!
When does the course start? Are there any set dates?
There are no set start dates. You start the programme whenever you want and proceed through the course at whatever pace you prefer. You have 12 months unlimited access to the full educational programme and can schedule your own studies entirely. You are also able to go back and forth through the content for unlimited amounts of repeats, reminders or just for fun and inspiration.
Are there any live elements?
The Professional Master for Executive Assistants is built on a unique part-on-demand, part-live foundation. All the course content can be consumed on-demand, whenever you want, at whatever device. You also decide what pace you want to proceed with; some colleagues dedicate significant chunks of time and complete the course in 6 hours per week for 10 weeks. Other colleagues chose to plan their studying differently and the decision is entirely individual – the programme is designed to work with whatever schedule that works for you.
The programme offers two separate live elements:
You will not be required to be present at any specific location, at any specific time, as a part of this programme. Included in the programme, however, is:
An online learning community. In our Slack channel, open exclusively to fellow programme participants, you meet colleagues from around the world. Channels are open to discuss the course, collaborate on specific assignments and share experiences overall. In the Slack channel you can also meet with the programme’s speakers, contributors and educational leaders to discuss course-specific elements as well as off-course questions, thoughts or opinions. The online learning community is open and active 24/7.
The manually graded Final Exam. After having been successful throughout the programme, and passed all assessments and assignments along the way – the Final Exam is the only thing standing in between you and graduation, and receiving your Professional Master certificate. The Final Exam is a 100% human experience meaning that you will be asked to produce a written assignment combining learnings, insights and personal reflections from within the programme – with applications, experiences and plans from your working life – into a written assignment. The written assignment will then be manually graded by Adam Fidler (founder of Adam Fidler Academy) personally, adding his own personal reflections, advice and feedback on your work and ambition.
Can you share more information about the Final Exam?
You decide the length and depth of your own work. The introduction is multiple pages of questions and background and we do expect a successful examination to be another set of pages, at least. The format of the Final Exam is built upon you putting the strategies, tools, perspectives and learnings to use, applied to your past, current and future work and career.
Such text and reasoning will demand you to write somewhat elaborate. You decide the amount of time to put into the work, and when you want to submit. There is no deadline and you can take whatever time you need to finalize. Our online learning community is also always open for any questions, needing to discuss with colleagues currently writing the same exam or similar assistance, guidance and inspiration.
Is the programme held with Zoom, Teams or any other kind of software?
All course content is pre-recorded and delivered via the educational platform itself, and its existing video and audio services. You will not have to download and/or install any software to take part in this programme. The educational program and platform is browser-based and will not be affected by any particular corporate firewalls.
I’m currently unemployed. Can you help organize a payment plan?
We can offer you to pay the course in four instalments, quarterly throughout the 12 month period.
How is the course assessed?
The programme offers three types of assessments:
1) Continuous, summative, assessments (in quiz format) are placed throughout the programme. These assessments offer an opportunity to reflect, remember, and self-assess your progress. You will not be able to proceed through the course without successfully finalizing all assessments but you will be able to go back-and-forth through the lectures to refresh your memory. You will also be able to work with the assessments an unlimited amount of times until you pass.
2) Assignments. A key part of the programme is practical assignments. These are practical exercises that you will be asked to produce based on the programme content. Assignments are always explained in detail and accompanied by a working document for you to download. Assignments are finalized at your own pace. Main ambition with the assignments is to take content from the programme and apply it to your day-to-day operations (for example: if we study a SWOT analysis, you may be asked to perform a SWOT analysis on your own organization or an organization you know well). Assignments are often produced mainly for self-reflection and individual learning and will not be graded. We encourage all students, however, to post their respective assignments in the online learning community – offering colleagues from around the world an opportunity to feedback, discuss and reflect alongside you.
3) The Final Exam. Manually graded writing assignment that will award you your Professional Master certificate. See more information about the Final Exam outlined above.
